From Move to Move-In Plan Your Move
Moving to a new area means learning the communities, the market and the timeline all at once. I'll help you narrow down where to look, set up a home search before you arrive and plan tours that make the most of your visit. If you're also selling a home somewhere else, we'll plan the timing of both.

Planning Your Move

Narrowing Your Search
Start with what your days will look like: where you'll work, how you'll get around and what you want close to home. Tell me what matters to you and I'll suggest communities to look at, then set up a search for each one so you can watch the market before you visit.

Touring Before You Arrive
If you can't visit right away, I can tour homes with you by video call, send photos and notes on what the listing doesn't show and answer your questions about each home. When you do visit, we'll plan a schedule that covers the homes on your short list.

Buying and Selling at Once
If you own a home where you live now, the timing of the sale and the purchase matters. We'll talk through your options, such as selling first, buying first or making an offer that depends on your sale, and I can coordinate dates with your current agent.

Financing Across a Move
A new job or a change in income can affect your loan, so talk with a lender early. A preapproval tells you your budget and shows sellers you're ready to buy. If you plan to keep your current lender, check that they lend in the area you're moving to.

After You Move In
Moving day comes with a checklist of its own: setting up utilities, changing your address and updating your vehicle registration. I can share a list of local service providers to get you started, and you can reach me with questions after closing too.
